- Spun off Provision Networks from Emergent OnLine in 2004 to focus on the development of EOL THINssentials (which became the Virtual Access Suite).
- Positioned the Virtual Access Suite (VAS) as a Citrix alternative for small/medium-sized businesses, leveraging Microsoft Windows Terminal Services and the RDP protocol.
- Expanded the capabilities of the Virtual Access Suite in 2005 by embracing the emerging Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) paradigm, a computing architecture advocating the virtualization and centralization of Windows desktop and application workloads.
- Designed the first-ever multi-platform VDI orchestration layer, giving customers an unfettered choice of hypervisor (vmware Sphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Parallels Containers) for seamless VDI management and future-proofing their virtual desktop investments.

- Founded Emergent Technologies in 1994.
- Provided infrastructure, platform, and application services to public- and private-sector customers.
- Developed a custom helpdesk application using Visual Basic and Pervasive SQL for ticketing and issue tracking.
- Developed a sophisticated graphical business intelligence dashboard using CleverPath Forest & Trees (originally owned by Chanel Computing and later acquired by Computer Associates).
- Designed and implemented remote access solutions using using Citrix WinFrame and remote access hardware.
- Became a Citrix Certified Engineer and a Citrix Authorized Reseller in 1997.
- Became a Citrix Certified Instructor and a Citrix Authorized Learning Center in 1998.
- Designed and implemented Server-Based Computing solutions using Microsoft Windows Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame.
- Rebranded company as Emergent OnLine in late 1999, offering hosted application services in a data center environment.
- Became a Citrix Business Alliance Charter Member in 2000 and one of Citrix's largest partners in the Americas.
- Became a Microsoft Partner in 2000, offering Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange design, implementation, and educational services.
- Developed a suite of software add-ons (EOL THINssentials) for Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft Windows Terminal Services, aiming to solve nagging issues with Server-Based Computing, including client-side printing, per-user time zone assignment, user environment configuration and lockdown, resource utilization management, and USB device redirection, among others.
- Grew into a 26-employee company by 2001, adding two new locations in Virginia and Maryland.
